Collect GST ID, password by Dec 31, said Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner

“All registered traders of Amritsar are being provided with provisional Goods and Services Tax (GST) IDs and passwords, which can be collected from the office of Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner,” said Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner (Amritsar) Vishav Deep Singh Bhangu.

He said it would be mandatory for every trader to activate his account by December 31. “If any trader is unable to activate his ID and password then he will face problems, when the GST is implemented,” he added.

Further elaborating on the development he said authorised representatives of registered traders could also collect provisional GST IDs and passwords. “Every trader can login at www.gst.gov.in by December 31. Further information and authority letter can be accessed on www.pextax.com,” he added.
